NSW TrainLink's fleet of XPLORER express trains and connecting coaches operate regular services to over 360 destinations throughout New South Wales. There are daily services north between Sydney and Tamworth, Sydney and Moree and a twice daily service south between Sydney and Canberra, providing a fast, efficient and cost effective means of travelling to the nation's capital with links to Melbourne.

The XPLORER also offers regular services into the Hunter Valley, one of Australia's premier wine regions renowned for its Chardonnay, Shiraz and fine dining. Or take the Silver City Explorer which runs just once a week from Sydney via Dubbo to Broken Hill, returning the following day via Bathurst, Orange and Parkes, an unforgettable journey through the wonderful diversity of landscapes, heritage and culture that make up New South Wales.

XPLORER trains all include a Buffet Car which serves affordable takeaway snacks, hot and cold meals, light beer, wine and beverages. Passengers with special dietary requirements can make a request when reserving their journey.

XPLORER offers two levels of service:-
Economy Seats: Featuring an individual reading light, fold-down table, an armrest, ample legroom and footrest.
First Class Seats: Slightly more spacious for extra comfort and feature an individual reading light, fold-down table, an armrest, even more legroom and a footrest.

All seats face the direction of travel but, with notice, can be rotated to form a group of four if required.
